The Freedom ART Project is an inspired vision. It consists of sixty-six non-figurative paintings – each painting reflecting an essential overall theme – one for each of the sixty-six books of the Canonized Bible to be displayed as a sanctuary for all people, from all traditions and denominations, beliefs and disbeliefs.

The paintings range in size according to the size of each book, the largest being Psalms measuring approximately 30 feet tall. Each painting incorporates the complete original language text from the book that painting represents. The text (Hebrew or Greek) will be applied in 23 karat gold leaf.

It is the vision and calling of artist Jeff LeFever.

Called in 1996 and envisioned in 1997, LeFever was deep into his calling when the Foundation began to support this journey. It is apparent that the Freedom ART Project is a project that will inspire others, desiring to use their gifts for God's Glory.

LeFever is an Artist In Residence in our pilot Residency Program. We are committed to helping him realize his vision, for we believe it is a great cultural benefit and a blessed direction. We also believe that God is revealing Himself through this process. LeFever's experience is one example of what we see as a cultural movement occurring in the visual arts, currently throughout Christendom.

Recently, The FBA was proud to co-sponsor Lefever's show : CLOUD FORMS divine mystery, a collection of work from April - August 2002 [ a link to the show, now online, can be found below under web resources].

These works are LeFever's preparation for the first Freedom ART Project prototype (a 10 foot version of Genesis).
