From the former President:Mike Thornton

Welcome

Thank you for visiting the web site of the Foundation for the Biblical Arts, a Not-For-Profit Corporation supporting the Biblical Faith based Visual Fine Arts. We invite you to look through our site and learn a bit more about us – we have much to offer those interested in and those that create, visual art.

Our Home page will be a source of information about our growth, educational; programs, sponsorships, and community involvement – so check in regularly, or better yet, register to receive our free newsletter. Look through our navigational sections and get excited. Give us your feedback and get involved.

We are an Organization moved to foster an appreciation for the advanced visual arts within the Faith based community.

We strive to help integrate intelligent and contemporary visual fine art into the Faith based community as a valuable means of inspiration.

We are avid to reveal the aesthetic dialog to those whom are not artists, but are interested in learning the language of the visual fine arts tradition.

We are thus eager to encourage informed and meaningful dialog on aesthetics among people who desire such dialog.

We are inspired to removing the fear of the mysterious by making it intelligible.

We will not be involved with any politically motivated agenda of artists or groups, nor influenced by religious organizations, their agendas or creeds. What we are involved in is being of help to those wish to, or who already do, express their beliefs aesthetically as a form of praise to the Almighty.

We are not a church, temple, parish, or synagogue – we are not ordained priests, and do not advocate any particular tradition, doctrine, or evangelical mission – we are students of scripture from many denominations and traditions, asking questions relating to our lives, and God -- always growing.

We will work with and employ other individuals and organizations with similar goals and whom posses the expertise to help foster a greater and more secure cultural community.

The Foundation is set up for the love of God in appreciation of the gifts with which He has imbued us, and in celebration of true Spirit filled human community.

The Foundation for the Biblical Arts will work to the ends of cultivating an intelligent, transcendent, and contemporary visual art expression, and understanding, within and among the Faith based communities of all Biblical denominations and traditions.

We look forward to hearing from you.

With God’s blessing ~

Mike Thornton and all of us at the FBA
