Strange
how ideas come - I am painting my bathroom with an oil base
paint, and noting the creamy drag of the oil paint as I
pull the paintbrush with varying pressure, giving the walls
an organic design, the thick paint reacting with a weight
and characteristic absent from acrylic paint. I like the
sheen and density of the oil paint. It has life. It is here
that it struck me: I will do the final painting of the crosses
in oil rather than acrylic.
