Foundation For the Biblical Arts

Pre-meeting

I am taking the morning off from going into Exhibitree, before finishing the Warner Brothers Theater job. I must say that the atmosphere at Exhibitree has been extraordinarily congruent - attitudes all around have been helpful and kind - the job has been a pleasure.

I am taking the morning off to meet Mike Thonton for breakfast before he and I head over to the attorney to set up the non profit Foundation for the Biblical Arts.

Post-meeting

Not only has this idea been (The Foundation For the Biblical Arts) been 'resurrected', but it has been raised as a new animal. Remember, I had buried the Foundation, "nailed it to the foot of the cross." Here I sit - weeks later, and papers are in progress for 501c3 status. The main purpose of the Foundation is to raise funding for the Freedom ART Project in support of the 66 monumental paintings. It will also serve as a Fiscal Sponsor to other artists in the visual, musical, and performing arts. The effort is to encourage and support artists expressing from a scriptural base - and especially those pushing the envelope of expression. What an encouragement and what a hope. I am sure some of the previous plans to educate will be included in the future as special engagements, as the Foundation sponsors educational resources. Very interesting!

Another blessing of the morning: the attorney, Dan Wildish, interested by the Freedom ART Project, agreed to sit on the Board of Directors. Read about Dan from the link at the upper right.

Praise God for Mike - Mike Thornton, whose heart is as 'big as the sky' - he is pushing this to happen and funding the incorpration.

What next?
