Who Knows Indeed!

The Phone rang. It was Janine calling from the house of her sister, Cherie. Last night at a dinner party in Palos Verdes Estates, she sold almost all the small paintings that we had pulled out of storage - literally dusted and cleaned the day before - for $2,300 !

I am amazed. This is beautiful. I had prayed for help so that I could continue painting, and Janine showed up - all the way from Washington (state). Once again, help has arrived unsolicited personally by me in answer to my prayers. How often I have asked people directly for help, and get none. Believe me, solicitation is difficult for me. Janine came in with her own ideas to help and she did. She also offered to return and help out at my art showing in August.

Greater still, my encounter with Janine yesterday, her positive and enthusiastic outlook, her actions and belief in placing my art work - her encouragement by action - her success and continued motivated efforts - have opened my eyes to new creative possibilities.

It was once brought to my attention, the rich resources at my disposal. At that time, my eyes were closed to any possible use of the ample supply of unfinished work and materials stored in my studio.

Now, however, where I was blind, deaf, obstinate - I can see ! I have pulled out over thirty incompletely works, and am adding to my stock of materials and mediums. Work begins tomorrow on a new aesthetic exploration. The VUTEk prints have served me VERY well in warming up my hand and easing me into the waters of painting.

I am in my element after all these years. And my eyes and mind buzz with possibility, and expressive curiosity.

Thank you Janine, and bless you. Praise you God for your goodness, kindness, faithfulness.
