I am Ready.

Warming up -

Looking at the many paintings finished for the upcoming show on September 28th, there are many beautiful artworks here – many inviting meditation.

Looking at them with out judgment and simply allowing my self to interact with them – as if meeting someone for the first time, one whom is open to discovery – like that excitement of first love.

These paintings are much about sensuality – they are sensuous in color and texture, seducing the eyes and the imagination. The rhythm each posses, swirl almost musically, except the patterns are not measured or syncopated. They are more like stories told with sounds visually written and performed by the imagination.

I am finding these to be my most rewarding paintings to date.

In a way, some of these paintings are Mandala-esque for there ability to absorb the mind and clear it of thought – free the heart to experience being – I wonder if these would be helpful toward prayer...

I am ready as a painter to begin the prototype - I am confident to face the expense and paint commandingly with out fear or trepidation. I am ready as a painter, though reverently, in my heart I have questions; for which I am leaving for Europe to explore … (cont. 9-17)
