This first painting took hold of the literal. Keeping with the parameter of painting clouds, this piece is, quite frankly, a cloud. Wishing to experiment with masking, on VUTEk prints, an under coat of florescent red was quickly masked over with pistriping tape as to form a chair. The cloud was then painted over the masked chair. Under gallery lighting, the color frequency of the chair vibrates against the color of the sky so much so, that the hard edge from the mask is blurred.
