The Vinyl's coarseness is a good surface for this kind of application between thick brushwork and delicate aisbrush. Elements of the Pokemon print were echoed in using straight edge masks and french curves . What started out as a casual application of graphite stick, soon became a wrestling match between the balancing of beauty with the angst of loosing contol of the medium. The further I was taken into the process with this piece, I found myself loosing sight of any idea or thought for what I was doing. In the end, it all works together retaining the moment of painting creation like a stampede.
