DETAIL: Practice Painting Nine (Eight clouds)

Clouds? Sure they are. Here is where the imagination is important. The brush strokes are more of a chirography, writing the shapes rather than painting them representationally. For me this final eight contains the power and surprise that I wanted of spontaneous gesture. In a few chalky strokes, the works previous premeditation was wiped clean. "Eight Clouds" was redeemed and made honest.
